Claire works from her studio at Clifton Beach, near Hobart. She has established herself as a successful self-supporting artist during the past 15 years and has a national and international customer base.

Technique

Claire has developed a unique painting technique and uses a ceramic and aluminium base to produce artwork that is defined by rich hues and tactile textures. Her paintings often incorporate organic material such as mica, crystal mortar, sand, leaves and shells adding texture and dimension to her work. These paintings are then fired to form a hard glossy surface that withstands the elements.

Her exterior artwork is painted on and framed entirely in either brushed aluminium or powder coated aluminium in a range of colours. These unique paintings are suitable for courtyard or patio areas, and create a final touch for a complete indoor / outdoor living area.
